Chia-Yu Liu currently works as an assistant research fellow at the Research Center for Testing and Assessment, National Academy for Educational Research, Taiwan. Her current themes of research are cognitive psychology, educational psychology, creativity, and STEAM education.
Dr. Liu received the M.Ed. degree in psychology and counseling from National Taipei University of Education, Taiwan, in 2010 and a Ph.D. degree in educational psychology and counseling from National Taiwan Normal University, Taiwan, in 2018. Afterward, she has served as a Postdoctoral fellow at the National Taiwan Normal University and has been awarded the Postdoctoral Scholar Research Grants Program with the research project aims to investigate the role of art and cultural elements in STEAM activities, and to find out the principles of intensifying art and cultural elements in STEAM education. She is the principal investigator for this research project during the 3-year period, 2019 2022. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, such as Computers & Education, Physical Review Physics Education Research, International Journal of Science Education, European Journal of Psychology of Education, and International Journal of Education Economics and Development.
