Dr. Chun-Chieh Sung has worked at the Research Center for Education System and Policy, NAER, Taiwan, since January 2017. Sung has had high interest for problems pertaining to children’s rights since he obtained his doctoral degree from the Hokkaido University Graduate School of Law, Japan. He previously served as Assistant Professor in the Advanced Institute for Law and Politics, Hokkaido University Graduate School of Law, Japan.
The legal system in Taiwan has developed recently in terms of the fundamental human right to education. Sung believes that quality education should be provided to all children in any circumstance because this is a fundamental human right. Thus, Sung is conducting research in this respect to assist the state in promoting more child-friendly approaches for realizing robust and resilient education systems.
