Lu, Feng-Lin acquired a PhD in mathematics education at the Department of Mathematics, National Taiwan Normal University. Lu is currently an Assistant Research Fellow in the Research Center for Testing and Assessment, specializing in mathematics e-textbook research, dynamic mathematics microworld, and digital learning in mathematics.
Lu was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at National Taiwan Normal University and National Taichung University of Education. He assisted in the planning and implementation of virtual manipulatives, such as dynamic mathematics objects and mathematics laboratory. As an advocate of the learning-by-doing philosophy of John Deway, Lu is convinced that finding the solution for a practical problem is an effective approach to acquire knowledge. In recent years, Lu has been invested in the development of digital mathematics education curricula and interactive virtual manipulatives on the theoretical basis of embodied cognition, mathematics experiment, and dynamic mathematics microworld, to provide students with a tangible mathematics learning opportunity by using technology.
