Wang, Shu-Chen
Biography

  Shu-Chen is an Assistant Researcher at the Research Center for Education Systems and Policy, NAER. After obtaining a PhD in National Taiwan University, she had worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Implementation Coordination and Impact Assessment Office of Higher Education Sprout Project, Ministry of Education. During this period, she was exposed to the topics of higher education and effectiveness analysis for Higher Education Sprout Project in Taiwan. By correlating multiple database fields such as Fundamental Data Survey on College and University Students and Tracking on Graduates’ Progression Paths, and Higher Education Database, she has had further understandings of the issues and challenges facing the domestic higher education systems and policies. 
  Her academic interest tends to the study of Positive Youth Development and International Child Well-being, especially defining the environmental promoting factors and interactions by applying longitudinal database. In the future, through the establishment and integration of educational databases, Shu-Chen will continue to explore research topics as an important reference for developing educational policies and practical programs.
