National Academy for Educational Research

We are responsible for the research and development of the national curriculum. The curriculum guidelines for school at all levels published officially by the Ministry of Education can be found under this section. The 12-year Basic Education Curriculum and Implementation Guidelines being the latest published curriculum that includes the general guidelines, curriculum guidelines for each domain, subject, cluster and department, and other categories of curriculum and implementation norms. 

The 12-year Basic Education emphasizes literacy-oriented instruction, thus we jointly develop the course handbooks, literacy-oriented instructional modules, curriculum design and instructional cases, and teaching assessment with scholars, experts, and practical educators as an implementation reference for all sectors. 

Curriculum Implementation requires a collaborative effort. This section includes the cases on teaching practices, curriculum-related publications and promotional videos developed with our collaborative research schools on curriculum transformation, in order to help all sectors to understand the Curriculum Guidelines of 12-year Basic Education easier. 

In order to develop curricula, we have established a 12-year Basic Education Curriculum Research and Development Committee, as well as the General Guidelines and the Curriculum Study Groups of each domain. The minutes of the previous meetings are published in this section as a reference to make the curriculum development process clear to the public.
