教育部於2001年將本土語言納入九年一貫教育中,本土語言教學自此成為一門正式課程,全國國小學生每週至少得修習本土語言一節、國中生得自由選習之。實施至今已逾十年,雖有一些論文針對原住民族語教學相關事宜進行探討,但卻缺少了一個全面性且深入檢視原住民族語教學實施情形、探究原住民族語教學所面臨之困境的研究。本子計畫透過文獻分析及問卷調查,檢視臺灣各縣市國中小原住民族語教學實施現況,特別就行政、族語師資、族語教材、及家長參與等幾個面向,探討原住民族語言教學之成效及困境。希望本研究結果可作為相關單位未來訂定原住民語言教育政策與發展之參考。
In 2001, the Ministry of Education began to teach in elementary and junior high schools the Austronesian languages as well as Min and Hakka. Though there have been some papers studying the teaching of the named languages, a systematic and thorough investigation of the issue is still in need. The present project attempts to examine the teaching of the Austronesian languages in Taiwan, with the focus on administrative support, indigenous language teachers, indigenous language textbooks, and the cooperation of students’ parents. It is hoped that the present study may provide some suggestions for the adjustment of the current policy and practice in indigenous language teaching.
