  •   近幾年來技專校院實施總量管制,各校自行調整機制,結果導致五專、二專及二技學生數驟減,但如何能再造過往五專的榮景,課程發展與設計的要點,目前無明確的探討。本研究的目的除了分析五專課程發展的理想與現況外,也探討五專課程發展目前面臨的問題與對策,繼而提出未來發展之建言。本研究除進行文獻資料分析外,採質性描述性研究設計方法,研究者以立意抽樣方式,選取對課程發展與設計有豐富的7位校長、1位副校長、2位教務長、13位科主任,進行共2場次焦點團體訪談與2次個別訪談,來進行資料收集,繼而分析結果。發現學者們認為,培養實用人才為五專課程發展的目標,課程設計與發展的理想為:理論與實務並重。研究也發現,目前五專課程發展面臨的問題包括有95課綱限制各校發展特色、業界與學界之間的斷層、學生素質參差不齊、民眾對高學歷的迷思等,學者們也提出多種應對策略。對於未來五專課程發展建議包括有:規劃特色課程、增加實作課程、學界與業界合作授課、課程設計彈性化。總之,本研究結果可做為五專發展特色及課程之指引,也可作為國家修訂課程綱要之參考。

  •   According Ministry Education, Taiwan, in recent years, the number of the enrollment students is limited. How to re-construct glory of five-year junior college, the curriculum development and design become very important, but not studied. The purpose of this study was to analyze present situation and goal(s) of five-year junior college curriculum development, investigate present problems and countermeasures, and therefore, recommendations for future curriculum development among five-year Junior Colleges. This was a qualitative descriptive research design. The purposeful sampling method was used. Subject recruitment criteria include persons who are expert in curriculum development and design. In this study, seven presents, 1 vice-present, 2 provosts, and 13 chairs of department participated two sections of focus group. Results showed that the goal of five-year junior college curriculum development is cultivating practical talent via emphasizing theory and practice during the curriculum designs. Results also found that present problems of five-year junior college curriculum development included: restraint school to develop specialty become of syllabus developed in year of 1996, gap between academic and practical, uneven quality of students, and the myth of the highly educated. Hence, experts provided several recommendations. For future curriculum development for five-year junior college, experts provided comments, including planning special courses, increasing practical courses, cooperation between academic and practical, and flexibility of curriculum design for each school. In conclusion, results of the study provided curriculum makers among five-year junior colleges to develop specialty curriculum, and than, to show school characteristics. Results of the study also provided policy makers as references to revise syllabus for five-year junior colleges.
