本計畫主要為教育部委由本院執行的「推動全球華語文教育八年計畫(102-109)」之「建置應用語料庫及標準體系」的第6-8年計畫,該計畫主要目標為建置應用語料庫及華語文標準體系,以提升華語文教育品質及效能。語料庫包括口語、書面語、中介語、及華英雙語4類語料庫;標準體系包括能力指標和漢字、詞語及語法點分級標準。目前華語文教學並沒有一致的標準體系,教學上多根據專家經驗訂定教材內容或課程大綱,亟需一套結合語料庫工具,系統化且一致化的能力指標、漢字、詞語及語法點分級表,以提供教學、教材設計及測驗評量使用。
在102-106年的研究基礎上,本計畫107年的研究項目包含華英雙語對應及檢索的優化研究、語料庫為本的中文常用句型分析研究(I)、NAER能力指標與ACTFL及CEFR能力指標等級對應研究、商務與觀光專項能力指標建置研究(I)、分級詞表及分級語法點表的建置研究,及標準體系在華語教學領域上的應用研究等。「華英雙語對應及檢索優化」及「語料庫為本的中文常用句型分析研究」是利用本計畫已建置之華語文語料庫及計算語言學技術,建立抽取中英例句對應、中英詞彙與片語翻譯及中文句型分析模組,而將真實語料應用在建置標準體系、編撰學習者詞典或華語文教材等方面。「分級詞表及分級語法點表建置」採用華語文語料庫統計出的詞彙及語法點頻率、篇章分布率、語料覆蓋率等數值,擬定分級流程,建置符合本院能力指標的各級詞語及語法點表。「標準體系在華語教學領域上的應用研究」則進一步將這些資料結合計算語言學技術,開發能標註級別的例句檢索系統、搭配詞檢索系統、情境詞查詢系統、句型查詢系統等,成為課程設計、教材編寫、測驗出題及自我評量的輔助工具。此外,「本計畫能力指標與ACTFL及CEFR能力指標等級對應研究」將進行標準設定,使本計畫能力指標與國際接軌,幫助考生及教師對測驗分數或等級所代表的意涵有更清楚的瞭解,並能讓考生對不同測驗的結果進行比較。「商務與觀光專項能力指標的建置」則是植基於華語文能力指標上,建置一套適用於商務與觀光的聽、說、讀、寫、譯能力指標,以因應目前華語學習的趨勢及需求。
This project aims at constructing and applying Mandarin Chinese corpus and standard systems, to enhance the quality and effectiveness of Mandarin as second language teaching and learning. At present, there is no consistent standard system in the field of Chinese teaching, most of the teaching materials or syllabus are based on teacher’s or researcher’s subjective experience. There is an urgent need to develop a systematic and consistent set of L2 performance indicators, Chinese characters list, word list and grammar point table, which are combined with corpus tools as a reference for Mandarin teaching and learning. Based on the research result of 2013-2017, the first year of the project includes research on optimization of Chinese and English bilingual corpus, automatic extraction of sentence patterns in Chinese (I), correspondence between NAER competence indicators and ACTFL and CEFR competency indicators, research on the construction of competence indicators of business and tourism (I), research on the construction of grading word list and grammar point table, and the application research of standard systems in the field of Mandarin teaching and learning. In the project of “the optimization of Chinese and English bilingual corpus and automatic extraction of sentence patterns in Chinese”, we use the established corpus and computational linguistics techniques to extract Chinese-English translations, Chinese-English sentence patterns and Chinese sentences type module etc., that is, applying the real language material to the construction of standard systems or compilation of learner’s dictionary. In the project of “construction of grading word list and grammar point table”, we adopt the frequency, dispersion uniformity and corpus coverage of words or grammar points to construct a objective and consistent standard systems. In the project of “application research of standard systems in the field of Mandarin teaching and learning”, we combine above research result to develop the concordancer for searching level-annotated example sentences, collocations, topic-related words, and sentence patterns, as an assistant tool for syllabus design, textbook and quiz compilation, and self-assessment. In addition, the project of “correspondence between NAER competence indicators and ACTFL and CEFR competency indicators” aims to make our competence indicators in line with international standards to help students and teachers understand the meaning of test scores or grades more clearly, and allow students to compare the results of different tests. At last, the project of “construction of competence indicators of business and tourism” is based on the indicators of Chinese language proficiency, we aim to set up a set of indicators of competence for listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating for business and tourism use, so as to meet the current trend of Chinese learning.
