  • Recently, the cross-culture and cross-country marriage families are changing the population structure in Taiwan. The difference of their language, culture and family background may be a big challenge for implementing educational policies. Based on the report of Ministry of the Interior, from 2001 to 2007, the increase rate for the new immigration children is more than 10% every year. The growth rate is fast and steady. Their academic growth situation, family stricture, personal relationship, accommodations will be sure to cause more researcher’s attention and research. In this study, the authors will adopt the approaches of systematic review and meta analysis, approximately use three years, to investigate the relationship of academic achievement (mathematics, science and language), accommodations and related affected factors (such as family social economic status, parent’s teaching) for new immigrant children. The main purpose of this study is to effectively integrate and analyze the cumulatively up-to-date factors which could influence the new immigration children’s learning performance, accommodations and possible factors which could impact those observable behaviors. The results can not only be used as the foundation for this integrated project or future research but also provide the possible conclusion for this issue. The moderators will also be investigated. In addition, this research will periodically update literature of the reviewed issue every year. The related coding information from this study will be provided to Taiwanese scholars as references. By doing this, we hope there will be more interaction with other scholars.
