The main purpose of this study is to establish the framework for an instrument of Taiwanese undergraduate students' professional core competency and the mechanism of detection and application of the instrument, and then we would take Education as an example. It will help to more effectively assess the learning outcomes of undergraduate students, analyze its development trends. The main research objectives of this study include: 1. exploring the connotation of the professional core competence of undergraduate students in education; 2. collection of the project and indicators of Taiwanese undergraduate students' professional core competency in education; 3. exploring the relationship among department, curriculum and the undergraduate students' professional core competency; 4. studying the evaluation, tracking and use of undergraduate students' professional core competency in education; 5. developing the framework for the undergraduate students' professional core competency in education; 6. developing the mechanism of detection and application of the instrument.
