本計畫為三年期整合型計畫之第一期,第一期計畫以學術名詞新詞蒐集來源分析、科技輔助新詞蒐集技術探討以及分析科學教科書術語複合詞為主。研究方法包括文件分析法、內容分析法及專家座談訪談等方法。在新詞蒐集上將分析學術名詞新詞來源及自動蒐集可行性等。在科技輔助新詞蒐集技術方面將探討如何將自動化分析技術導入學術名詞新詞蒐集程序,憑藉分析技術可有效地從大量資料中探勘所需資訊的特性,自動從網路資源中建立新詞推薦詞表輔助學術名詞的編譯。同時,本計畫亦將探究科學術語詞彙所衍生之複合詞在語法組態與語意類別上表現出不同的複合規則,瞭解中學科學教科書複合詞態樣、構詞原則、語意與理解分析。最後,本研究將對學術名詞新詞蒐集及翻譯等提出建議。
The project, which is the first stage of a three-year integrated project, includes analyzing the collection source of new academic terms, exploring the technology of new term collection, and analyzing the compound words in school science textbooks. On the source collection analysis, we will explore the way to generate new academic terms and its sources and media, etc. On technology-assisted new term collection, we will explore how to incorporate automated analysis techniques to automatically generate new term candidates from web resources (e.g., Wikipedia) for assisting term editing since the required information could be effectively mined from large amounts of data. Based on the result, we expect to not only improve the efficiency of field new terms editing, but also enhance the objectivity, reliability and practicality of content. The study will provide some suggestions and strategies to science terms translation, science teaching and learning, and textbooks compilation. Furthermore, for analyzing formation principles of compound words derived from the vocabulary of scientific terms in syntax and semantic configuration categories, the methods of this study consist of text analysis, focus group discussions, and expert interviews will be applied to analyze semantic analysis and understanding of secondary school science textbooks. Based on the results, the study will provide some suggestions and strategies to scien
