術語是學科知識體系中的基本要素,也是培養學科核心能力的關鍵詞彙,學生在學習過程中必須充分理解這些關鍵詞彙,才能有效表達觀念、溝通意見或討論問題。科學教科書是教師教學與學生學習的主要媒介,是引領學生進入科學世界的重要途徑,教科書除了可藉由其語言的使用方式,協助學生由一般的書寫語言轉變到科學語言的論述方式之外,另可以幫助學生習得科學知識。故教科書如何闡述解釋術語,涉連學生學習理解,術語之釋義值得密切關注。本研究以中小學科學教科書「永續發展」主題為範疇,透過語料庫分析教科書文本中有關術語釋義之類型,及進而探討學生學習時可能遭遇到的問題,期能提供課程規劃、教科書編寫審查、教師教學及術語審譯釋義的啟示與建議。
The terminology is the basic element in the subject knowledge system, and it is also the key vocabulary to cultivate the core competence of the subject. Students must fully understand these key words in the process of learning so as to express and communicate opinions effectively. The science textbook is the main medium of teaching and learning; it is an important way to lead students into the scientific world. Whether students acquiring scientific knowledge depends on their understanding the semantic content expressed in textbook discourse, so the complementary use of effective texts has a significant role. In this study, the research content is the sustainable development issue discussed in primary and secondary school science textbooks. Through the corpus to explore different types of explanations of scientific terms, and then sample texts analyses show the problems that students may encounter when learning. Implications and advices will be drawn for appropriate teaching guidelines, textbook design and review, terminology review and explanation.
