十二年國民基本教育課程綱要總綱明定進修部普通科課程劃分為一般科目之部定必修、校定必修和選修及團體活動時間與彈性學習時間五大類;而專業群科則劃分為一般科目之部定必修、校定必修和選修、專業及實習科目之部定必修、校定必修和選修及團體活動時間與彈性學習時間。其中,專業群科增加了專業及實習科目之部定必修及校定選修,因此,其一般科目之校定必修學分相較於普通科大幅減低。依現行進修部課綱規劃,校定選修具有相當的彈性,過去研究指出,進修部學生在國中階段多為低學習成就的學生,學習動機普遍不高,而十二年國教高級中等學校進修部之課程目標即為建立學生的自我價值、激發其學習動機,增進生活知能並進而促進其生涯發展。因此,了解108學年度即將實施之新課綱實施現況外,能否實踐其課程目標以及學生實際學習情形,為本研究欲探討之重點。

Curriculum Guidelines of 12-Year Basic Education reveals the curriculums of continuing education department in general senior high school are divided in five parts: general subjects (MOE-mandated curriculum), school-developed curriculum, elective courses, group activity period and alternative learning period. And the curriculums of continuing education department in vocational senior high school are general subjects (MOE-mandated curriculum), school-developed curriculum, elective courses, vocational subjects and hands on courses. The addition of vocational subjects and hands on courses decrease the number of courses of general subjects in continuing education department in vocational senior high school. According to the guidelines of continuing education department, it increases the flexibility of elective courses. Based on the research, students study in continuing education department are low academic performance in the former education stage and they have low learning motivation. The goal of Guidelines of 12-Year Basic Education is to establish the value of students, instigates their learning motivation, promoting knowledge of living and life carrier. Therefore, to understand whether the Curriculum Guidelines of 12-Year Basic Education can achieve its goal and do help students in learning is the key of this research.
